FLYT — The Recruiting Files
The Kid From Monument Won't Stay Quiet
945 receiving yards. Academic All-State honors. A sister-run highlight machine. And a Colorado two-way star chasing a Division I offer.
By FLYT • Monument, CO
A 1,000-yard junior. A two-way playmaker. And a mountain town of nineteen thousand suddenly on the recruiting map.
— Palmer Ridge, CO
Monument, Colorado is a quiet town tucked against the Front Range. It is not where the recruiting machine looks first. Zak Crisler is making it look anyway.
The Palmer Ridge receiver spent his junior year turning contested catches into highlight reels and quietly climbing into the conversation as one of the most productive pass-catchers in the state. The tape is loud. The numbers are louder.
THE NUMBERS DON'T WHISPER
As a junior, Crisler reeled in 64 catches for 945 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns, punishing defenses at 14.8 yards a reception. He added 70 yards and a score on the ground for good measure. By season's end his career line read 93 receptions, 1,260 yards, and 8 touchdowns — and he still has his entire senior season ahead of him.
This fall, the climb only accelerated: 560 yards in his first five games, with the stat line still filling in week by week.
A TWO-WAY PROBLEM
Crisler isn't a one-side-of-the-ball luxury. Lined up at defensive back, he stacked 44 tackles, an interception, four pass breakups, and a forced fumble — the kind of versatility college staffs covet in a modern roster. Slot, boundary, free safety: wherever Palmer Ridge needed a playmaker, number one showed up.

MANAGED BY SISTER
Scroll his Instagram and the first line tells you everything about how this family operates: "MANAGED BY SISTER... follow along." Every graphic, every stat drop, every highlight is built and posted by his older sister, who appointed herself his first recruiter, editor, and hype department. In a sport that rewards whoever shouts the longest, she decided her little brother would never be the quiet one in the room.
She's not waiting for anyone to discover him. She's making them look.

THE CLIMB TOWARD D1
Now the whole thing points at one word: Division I. The film is on Hudl. The frame is 5'11" and still growing. The want-to is off the charts. Zak Crisler is chasing an offer the way he chases a deep ball — eyes up, full speed, no hesitation — and he is daring the big programs not to notice.
This is the climb. Follow along.
